Nikki Walker

Wildlife Biologist
Nikki has over 10 years of experience as a wildlife biologist. Her recent experience includes conducting and coordinating field surveys for sensitive species, preparing environmental compliance documentation, mitigating human-wildlife conflicts, wildlife disease surveillance and documentation, and assisting in collaborative conservation efforts among local, state, federal, and private stakeholders.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in fisheries, conservation, and wildlife biology from Colorado State University in 2013, and she is in the final stages of completing her Master of Science degree in zoology from Southern Illinois University. She is an active member of The Wildlife Society, the Society for Conservation Biology, the American Society of Mammalogists, and the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology. She has extensive experience in technical writing and has published several articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Currently, she serves as the lead wildlife biologist on the Ten West Link 500-kV Transmission Line project.
